BRAND NEW Animated Corporate Holiday Ecard

Here at Ecard Mint, we know the winter holidays are starting to come around quickly. We’ve already had numerous requests from companies about their corporate holiday greetings so what better time for us to proudly unveil our brand new, animated company Christmas ecard.

This year, we decided to create an ecard based on the traditional English Christmas carol, ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’.  Alongside its musical accompaniment, this lively business holiday ecard takes us through the gaggle of increasingly grand gifts given on each of the twelve days of Christmas from turtle doves to drummers drumming.

Design Previews

As the saying goes, everything starts somewhere so before we show you the finished product, here are a couple of  initial sketch design previews.

From our initial sketches we develop and animate our characters to bring you a great addition to our diverse range of corporate holiday ecards. Now enough from us, take a look for yourself.

Our New Turkey Breakout Christmas Ecard is Almost Here!

It’s that time of the year again.

Our new Turkey Breakout e-greeting is almost ready.

Following on from our series of Turkey Breakout Company Christmas Ecards, this new animated is in the final stage of production and will be added to the site in early November.

Our corporate Thanksgiving e-card category is also home to seasonal variants of the Turkey Breakout series for US customers to send to employees, clients and business partners to celebrate the start of holiday season.

This series of ecards follows two hapless turkeys as they attempt to escape the fate of a prime spot on the Christmas dinner table.

The narrative of this design differs slightly from previous incarnations as the story meets back up with the turkeys after a successful breakout attempt. But even as free range poultry, these two are walking disaster areas.

Here’s the story in a nutshell:

On the run, the turkeys spy a couple of penguins skating gracefully across a lake. Impressed, they each don a pair of skates and decide to imitate their avian counterparts – with calamitous consequences.

If you’re eager to see the completed product, look out for our announcement of the new card on the Ecard Mint blog with a link to the animation.

Until then, take a look at the following design previews to get an idea of how our latest Xmas e card for business will look:

Preview Our Latest Christmas and New Year E Cards

It seems ridiculous to be talking about Christmas at the start of September, let alone New Year. And so, whilst they might not be needed until the end of this year or the start of the next, we’re always eager to show you the newest tools in our arsenal of corporate ecards.

Below are three of our latest company e greetings for Christmas and New Year which are simple but professional static email cards for companies looking for something uncomplicated but eye-catching to pass on their best wishes to employees and customers:

Finding the right time

‘You there! What day is this?’

‘Why today, today is Boxing Day.’

‘…Oh.’

Did we miss it?

Anyone who knows anything about blogging, and indeed sending ecards, knows it’s hard to miss getting the right day. If we can be frank, this is not what you would call a ‘live’ broadcast.

At the time of publication, Ecard Mint is closed for Christmas and we can therefore confidently wager that at least one (and most likely more) employees are currently slumped in an armchair thoroughly wiped out from watching too much telly and eating too many Terry’s Chocolate Oranges.

Merry Christmas from Ecard Mint

In fact, if you’d allow us to pull back the curtain just a tad more, we can actually reveal that this blog was written and scheduled to go out a week ago.

Modern technology, eh? Marvellous.

And as we were saying, if you’re familiar with sending business e cards you’ll know that one of the many, many wonderful things about internet and email marketing, is the ability to dictate the exact time and date that you can put your communications out there. This works especially well if you’ve had the good sense to research when marketing emails are best received. See this insightful article about scheduling from the Econsultancy blog for more information.

So no – we didn’t miss it. We we’re simply waiting for the right time.

Merry Christmas!

We’ll see you in the New Year.

The Last Christmas Post

We were wondering what to write about for our last post before Christmas. And that got us thinking, ‘post… last post… when is the last post?’ And wouldn’t you know it, that day is today.

Yes this is it. Today is the last day to send your parcels and cards with Royal Mail to make sure they land on the designated doorstep in time for festivities.

Of course, if you’ve had a good year you could always delay for a couple of days and go first-class – as long as you get yours in the red box by the 20th December. And if you’ve had a really, really good year (we’re talking lottery wins and long-lost inheritances) you can put it off till the 23rd of December and use Royal Mail’s special delivery service.

Or if you’ve still not managed to send off your corporate Christmas ecards, at Ecard Mint the last post is determined by you. You can schedule your company e card for Christmas eve, for 4.55pm on the last day of work or even 23.59 on Christmas day itself (bit odd, but who are we to judge?)

You don’t need stamps, you don’t need paper and you definitely, most certainly do not need to panic.

Now that’s a last post to be proud of.

Oh thank you, you’re very kind.

And now that that’s all sorted (as the postmaster might say) the only thing really left to do is to wish a very Merry Christmas, we hope you have a good one.

‘In Two Weeks’ Time…’

Have you noticed that there’s a sort of weary commentary that goes with the passing of time around the festive season? People chiming with all the regularity of a cuckoo clock: ‘in a month…in three weeks…in two weeks’ time IT will all be over for another year.’ It starts to feels like all hope of achieving everything we set out to do at the beginning of the season gets more and more unlikely with every open door of the Advent calendar.

But why so weary? We think we might know why.

Because it’s this time, above any other time of year, that we pile on the pressure: to have the perfect turkey, to buy the best gifts, to throw the best office party and send the best corporate Christmas card.

All too often, people associate being the best with being the most stressed. It’s like we’re not just counting down till Christmas day but the time just after the Christmas pud’s been dished up. And when the timer finally reaches zero, you’ll finally be able to just relax and let your wine spill down your nice new apron as you drift off during the Queen’s speech.

Well we don’t want you to have to wait until then to relax. We know that some things aren’t just about tradition but making the most of this time of year… and we might just be able to help you with one of those things.

Keeping in touch, especially if you’re a small to medium sized business is important. So our corporate Christmas e cards provide the perfect solution to reminding someone that you’re still there and always happy to hear from them.

Christmas cards can also be expensive and time consuming, depending on how many people make the ‘nice’ list.

Naturally, we’re pretty big advocates of ecards. For a few reasons, really:

  • You’ll save on postage cost and be able to personalise your cards without hand-writing every single one.
  • You can send them to the office down the road or to your customers ‘down under’ at the click of a button.
  • You can schedule your ecard way in advance or send it at 4.55pm on the last working day of the year.

Of course, we would say that. But we do actually believe that they can help relieve one of the big burdens of the festive period – letting you get on with worrying about the really important things, like whether to buy pre-made pigs in blankets (sure, they save time – but convenience like that comes at a premium).

So yes, we can help with that. To the other things, we say: ‘so what?!’ if the Turkey’s a little dry, if your relative asks if you still have the receipt for the scarf you bought them, or if you throw the worst party since Noah decided to put the world’s deadliest animals in the same room as the tastiest ones.

Christmas will come. And go. And come again. You’ll get more than one shot at it.

And as for keeping your clients? We’d like to say the same goes…

…but we’re determined not to get coal this Christmas.
